Get to Know Your Therapist

Welcome, I am so glad you’re here. I plan to get to know you very well. Let me share a little about myself, too.

A Little About Me

I’ve been working as a therapist since 2023, and my passion for this work has only grown. My experience in outpatient substance use and mental health has given me the opportunity to support individuals through some of life’s toughest challenges. Recently, I transitioned into private practice to focus on the clients and specialties that mean the most to me.

I am especially passionate about working with individuals from marginalized communities, and I take great care in creating a space that feels safe, welcoming, and free of judgment. I work with clients ages 12 and up who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. No matter where you are in your journey, I am here to support you with warmth, understanding, and a commitment to your well-being.

How I Got Here

I knew I wanted to help people and work in mental health long before I became licensed—ten years before. This passion comes from personal experience and witnessing loved ones navigate their own challenges. I truly understand the importance of feeling seen, heard, and supported.

I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Social Work from NC State (Go Pack!). Before and during school, I spent ten years as a server—an experience that shaped me deeply and left me with a lifelong habit of saying “heard.”

Me, Personally

I’m a spouse, a mom of two, and a lifelong animal lover—our home wouldn’t be complete without our two cats. My interests are wide-ranging: I love getting lost in a good book, winding down with a video game, or indulging in reality dating shows. And no matter how many times I’ve read I Love You Forever or watched Moana, they still bring tears to my eyes. These moments, big and small, remind me of the deep emotions that connect us—and why I’m so passionate about the work I do.

But above all, I am deeply passionate about helping people and fostering a world rooted in equity and empathy. Advocacy and social justice are close to my heart, and I recognize how overwhelming the world can feel right now. If you need a space to process what’s happening around us, I am here to listen and support you.

My Values

I believe in creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you feel seen, heard, and valued. My practice is rooted in empathy, equity, and advocacy, with a deep commitment to meeting you where you are and honoring your unique experiences. I strive to hold space for those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life’s many challenges—especially individuals from marginalized communities. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and together, we will move at your pace, working toward healing, growth, and resilience in a way that feels right for you
